Why Writing Articles YOURSELF, Is A Great Investment

For many business owners, leaders, busy folk... Writing articles can seem tedious and an activity with little to no immediate benefit. While there are scents of validity to your point, let me help you reframe your attitude and show you why you should turn your expertise into great content, and why article writing is a great investment.

But It’s a drag! There’s no time for that! Let someone less experienced write for me...

Here are 6 reasons why writing articles yourself, is a great investment.

1. You Are The Expert.

People just don’t know what it is you know. You can easily outsource or work-shift the task of content creation but the fact is that they are less experienced, and won’t have the insight and wisdom, (not to mention have the lingo down) that would set you and your brand apart from all the noise out there.

2.Long Term Dividends

You run a direct mail piece. Expensive. Immediate response. Not as good as you hoped... What if instead you knew a problem your prospect was having, could answer the question about how to fix their leaky faucet themselves, (for example) and that piece of information just landed right on their kitchen counter as they scrambled to their phone-book in frustration to look for a plumber. You are a hero, a gift, thank god!

You saved them money, you solved their problem, but you also did something else. You earned major points! Next time their is a problem they cannot fix on their own, who do you think they’ll call?

Good, targeted content can can drive prospects to your site, build rapport, and create relationships built on trust, ad infinitum. Well maybe not that long, but if leveraged and linked to properly, for the rest of time you’re in business anyway.

3. Minimal investment

It costs virtually nothing to do this. Probably less than an hour of your time. What else could be a less expensive way of higher leveraged advertising... Granted time is money, but writing an article don’t take much of it when all you have to do is sit down and write what you know.

4. Building Your Brand.

Creating content is putting out the signal which represents your brand. This is the best way to sell. NOT selling. Helping people solve their problems, and providing the go-to advice on your topic within your market segment will build relationships, credibility, and eventually, loyal customers. Each quality piece of content you put out there is one more building block for your brand.

5. Teaching People the Right Stuff.

There is so much NOISE out there. You know it, i know it, the spammers, hacks, regurgitated misinformation is getting out of hand. Isn’t it time your market learned from your wisdom? Don’t they deserve that? We’d all appreciate it!

Not only are you giving back, there’s great opportunity to establish yourself and develop a relationship directly with your market!

So what are the objections...? Well probably the biggest one is that people don’t know where to start, and don’t know what to do after they’ve written their article.
