Using Creativity To Create and Package Your Content
Using Creativity to Create and Package Your Content : Using Knowledge and creativity as an element to accelerate, enhance, and create better, more valuable content.
I know... It’s a wayward thought, but perhaps a bullet point slideshow is not actually the most effective format to present the material?
Reading a script on a screen capture video may not be doing you or the content justice either… Let alone, and MORE importantly teaching the LEARNER what THEY need, in the ideal way.
And no i'm not talking about technology platforms or neat buzzwords which tout fancy brands of flashy dressed up concepts...
As a music maker and entrepreneur in the new music business i think you'll find what i’m talking about here to be part of the solution.
As songwriters, artists, musicians, professionals, we know stuff. We are also creative.
The future models of content creation are just more developed methods of creating and presenting the material... No?
Im talking about using our creativity to assess and structure our content or teaching material to tap deeper into the actual factors that are going to effect how well the information is received.
I guess the most simplified way to think about this is by thinking about the type of material, who its being consumed by, and what would be achieve a desired outcome.
These considerations go hand in hand with respects to providing a new class of training materials, concept delivery, and learning and teaching in an advanced way.
Not only does the exercise of engraining these techniques into your content creation provide the learner/user with a more enriched, more engaging, and far better way of learning what they need to know, but i propose it actually makes us all smarter, and more active in using more of our inherent powers that make us uniquely human. Our mental faculties.
It also means more valuable… Which means better results for everyone involved.
Point 1… Im using more of my brain in an integrated way… Creativity is really the synchronized use of both sides of your brain to be "creative," anyway. Not some frazzled hippie or listless babbling writer… “i’m talking about trees man, ya know?" Best put that to rest.
Theres no mysterious definition of what "real creativity" means… Its the use of imagination and original ideas thought consciously, unconsciously, intuitively… Its CREATING or combining something in a new way.
Its seeing things from a different angle, perspective, point of view, etc.
What i’m talking about here is a healthier, more balanced dose of creativity for modern reality in my opinion, because it actually has some structure, and definition of purpose… We’re talking about finding the best way to teach someone something, so they can learn it most effectively - we can let our imagination run through multiple scenarios until we find the one we understand to be IDEAL.
We use logic to address and conclude the answers or solutions to the problems and questions we encounter, we use willpower to concentrate on and default back to the overall purpose of the objective, then we use insight, intuition, applied knowledge, fundamental skills, and all available resources to create and produce it.
We are capturing, developing, and producing ideas… Same as making music and recording in our studio's.
Point 2… The learner is using more of their brain in a more active, integrated way… Using pictures for example while reading the script or explaining the topic we are discussing is one example.
Point 3… This would naturally only make the "content" more valuable. Thus people would gladly pay more if it means increased learning retention, faster learning process, more engaging, and more effective transition to the results and benefits they are after in the first place… No?
Well i don't know about you, but i'm very picky about my time, and i don't like to waste any more than i have to.
So tell me, how does anyone lose?
Sure, it takes a bit more time than just throwing the first couple things you come up with together and trying to make a buck or promote yourself with…
But as a music entrepreneur, you'll end up with the solution for what you need, what your customer actually wants, and everyone gets better and smarter in result.
The Music Business has changed… Blah blah blah… we get it. Here are some solutions.
Use your knowledge and turn it into content.
Use the creativity you use to make music, to create a product out of the things you know.
Have the best day you can have.
