Purification of The Mind: How To Maintain The Ideal State of Mind

The purification of the mind is an essential practice for modern musicians.

You see what happens is that we have thoughts that leave us to question or doubt ourselves we call FUD, or fear, uncertainty, and doubt. This leaves a negative impression and taints our mind from the goodness of our true selves. Through purification of the mind we have the ability to refresh and cleanse our thinking process with the impressions and feelings that connect us to our source, to our divine nature.

How To Maintain The Ideal State of Mind

Once you are in The Ready State, your job is to continue to purify your mind back to it’s natural source of well-being.

The process of mind purification can be very different for different people but the goal is to maintain the ideal state of mind. This is a state of flow, an expression from our true self, or The Ready State as we teach. Purification of the mind can be done all throughout the day to remain in the ideal state of mind as often and as long as possible.

Meditation and mindfulness

Meditation and mindfulness are the primary tools in your toolbox for purifying your heart and mind. They are fundamental practices of modern musicianship. Meditation is done 2-3 x throughout the day, and mindfulness should be practiced all throughout the day as you experience each moment.

Through success conditioning

Success conditioning is the process of raising your vibration and can be used to purify the mind through the processes and activation exercises of affirmation, visualization, prayer, incantation, self talk, segment intention, and more creative ways to get connected to our true self.

Recalibration pit stops

These are incredibly powerful short breaks that refresh the mind. They are important to the overall attitude of your own well being. You need to look at your mind body and soul as a high end race car. Your goal is optimal performance, and the pit stops are the recalibration and retuning you need to reconnect with you and your purpose and your experience in the moment.

Micro meditations

Micro meditations are short yet impactful meditation sessions that are also extremely powerful. These are the 5-10 minute guided imagery meditations, or affirmation powerups, or a quick visualization session. These can be sprinkled in throughout the day to give you more vitality, passion, power and flow.

Taking a walk

This has become one of my favorite techniques because it gets me into motion and fuels my flow. I walk a beat around my apartment complex. I use the time in stride to think about my goals and dreams as well as learning and processing of ideas in ways that energize and motivate me.

Exercise

This is another mainstay habit that I’ve developed over the years, and should be incorporated into your regimen no matter your age or fitness level. Modern Musicians exercise regularly every week. I make it easy and focus on doing some form of exercise every single day.

Inspiration

Inspiration is what has allowed me to stay connected to my purpose and my values despite so many ups and downs, trials and tribulations. Through war, and then ptsd, growing and evolving a business, many migraines and sleepless nights… Walking with the wisdom of the ages for 15 years through self education has kept me inspired and motivated.
