Pit Stops For Recalibration
There's this thing in our culture about always trying to go go go. One of my objectives as a coach is to get you to optimal performance. You in your best self, working with optimal creativity and productivity. I want to see you flourish mentally, emotionally, and spiritually over the long haul. That's why i need to introduce you to the pit stop or recalibration session. Simply add a 5-10 minute break every 50-60 minutes of work and you'll find yourself refreshed and recalibrated for another productive block of work and find yourself more easily able to enter flow throughout your day. There's no programming in most peoples minds that incorporates the balance of energies and potentials by taking breaks. What happens is that we go go go and then we burnout. Race cars are optimized for performance and for the long haul by taking pit stops. Pit stops are your key to sanity and longevity in your mental, spiritual, emotional dimensions. Every hour or two you should take one and every few workblocks or worksets take a 30 minute rest and recalibration session It’s a myth that draining yourself mentally and expending all your energy in negative emotional states will get you to what you truly want faster. When you think about it, you are the most valuable thing you own. You have to take care of you and doing it with these little pit stops is an easy and effective way to show that you care about your own optimal performance and well being. It’s actually in the pit stops that the integrations and new experiences are triggered, activated, and processed.
